Korean Language in Indian Schools

Program Overview

1. Purpose

To expand Korean language education worldwide by supporting the adoption of Korean as a school subject and the establishment of Korean language classes in overseas elementary and secondary schools, thereby strengthening Korea's international standing and building a foundation for nurturing global talent.

2. Support Contents

  • Support for schools adopting Korean language
  • Support for Korean language teachers and educational administration
  • Support for students in Korean language classes
  • Building the foundation for Korean language education

3. Support Criteria

After signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between schools with demand for establishing Korean language classes and KEC India, differentiated support is provided to each school within budget, comprehensively considering the number of classes, students, and instructional hours. The scale of support is adjusted based on demand surveys conducted through overseas diplomatic missions.
