The Korean Education Centre India is pleased to share information regarding the Understanding Korea Contest 2026, organized by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS).

The contest aims to promote a deeper and more accurate understanding of Korea by encouraging the development of educational materials that can be utilized in classrooms around the world. Participants are invited to submit original teaching and learning resources related to Korea, including topics such as history, culture, society, and economy.

Under the theme “Korea Reaching Classrooms Worldwide: Accurately Understanding, Accurately Teaching,” the contest welcomes submissions in the following categories:

• Lesson Plan and Worksheet for Understanding Korea
• Visual Educational Content (charts, diagrams, infographics, educational posters, etc.)

The contest is open to foreign nationals and overseas Koreans, including university students and members of the general public with an interest in Korea.

Submission Period: June 1 – July 31, 2026 (18:00 KST)

Submission Language: Korean or English

Submission Method: Email submission to highspirit@aks.ac.kr

Awards:
• Grand Prize (2 winners): KRW 800,000 each
• Excellence Prize (4 winners): KRW 500,000 each
• Participation Prize (6 winners): KRW 250,000 each
